Newspapers

The Craig Daily Press is published Monday through Friday mornings and is available free at newsstands. Additional copies carry a charge.

With its circulation of 3,500, the newspaper reaches throughout Moffat County.

The Saturday Morning Press is published Saturday mornings, and is distributed free to a large area surrounding Craig.

The Hayden Valley Press is published once a week, covers topics specific to the town of Hayden, and costs $14 for a 12-month subscription.

The Steamboat Today is a free-distribution newspaper published daily. The Pilot & Today is published on Sundays and sells for $1. Libraries

Moffat County Libraries offer three area branches -- Craig, Maybell and Dinosaur.

The Craig branches hours are 10:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday and Tuesday and 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday. The Craig branch offers Thursday morning story hours for children, with some stories in the park in the summer.

Bus service

As many Craig residents commute to Steamboat Springs for work, the Steamboat Springs Transit offers a regional shuttle between Craig and Steamboat Springs. Service between Craig and Steamboat costs $5, with lower fees for shorter trips.
