Finding luxury in Craig

Craig's a down-to-earth city, but for those who seek a luxurious home, there are some options.

Some people, many who live on the outskirts of town, are finding a special home in a small town, said said Nell Rose, a Re/MAX About You agent and president of the Craig Association of Realtors.

Buying a lot and building a custom home is one way to make sure your hme is as luxurious and you'd like it to be.

"People get what they want that way," Rose said.

Building one's own home is gaining popularity in the area, Rose said.

And those who seek a nice home in the wide open spaces of Moffat County, there is some ranch land available.

"There are some out there for those who like that kind of thing," Rose said.

But Rose said living in Craig is about more than the size, location or price of your house.

"It's the small town atmosphere," she said. "It's a good place to raise kids, and there's lots of outdoor recreation around here."
