Craig Intermediate School was created in the fall of 1996 when Craig Middle School was divided into two separate schools.
The school was built in 1964 and serves about 320 fifth- and sixth-grade students.
Located at 201 E. Ninth St., the school has an instructional staff that includes teachers, a counselor, a librarian, teacher aides and a principal. A core academic program is offered with a selection of electives for sixth-grade students.
The school has several clubs students can participate in, including Kids from the Country choir, the Spelling Club, Friday Morning Club, Life Savers, Art Club and Science Club.
The school was rated average in the 2005-06 Colorado School Accountability Report.
Don Davidson is the school's principal.
