Craig
Craig, a town of roughly 10,000, offers everything a small town needs -- a variety of shopping, restaurants, services and recreation.
Downtown Craig offers unique shopping experiences, including specialty stores for such items as luxury kitchen supplies, antiques, jewelry and books. The city also includes hunting and fishing stores, a major retailer and two fully stocked grocery stores.
A range of restaurants offer residents a variety of tastes -- from classic burger and fires to Mexican dishes and from barbecue fare to Chinese buffets. Craig also is host to several fast food chains.
The city boasts three car dealerships, a mall and several banks. There's a library, many churches of various denominations and a post office. Craig also has a new bowling alley, movie theater and three swimming pools.
The city's several parks offer playgrounds, hiking trails, lakes for fishing and a disc golf course.
The city and county parks and recreation departments offer summer and winter leagues at the parks and the indoor ice arena.
The average cost of a home in Moffat County is about $145,000. Many residents prefer to stay within the city limits for accessibility to services, while others prefer the solitude and privacy of living on a ranch outside of town.
Either way, Craig offers the best of both worlds -- everything you need in a small-town, friendly setting.
