Browns Park
Browns Park is home to lovely landscape and a piece of Moffat County history.
The area found itself used as a hideout for cattle rustlers, outlaws, and gangs, most notably that of Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid.
Coke ovens once used to remove copper from ore are located in nearby community Greystone, and are open for public viewing.
Ladore Hall, a former schoolhouse, is still used for community events, including an annual hoedown.
The isolation and hour-and-a-half drive to Craig might be a deterrent to some, but for those looking for wide open spaces, Browns Park is ideal.
